This statement applies to the publicly accessible pages of danielgerl.de (home, legal notice, privacy policy, accessibility statement).
Legal background
As a purely private website that does not offer services in electronic commerce, this site is not subject to the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG), the Equal Opportunities for Disabled Persons Ordinance, or BITV 2.0. The following statements are therefore made as a voluntary commitment.
Conformance status
I aim to design the public pages of this website largely in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
Measures implemented:
- Semantically correct HTML (landmarks, heading hierarchy)
- Skip link to the main content
- Sufficient color contrast between text and background
- Keyboard operability of all interactive elements
- Meaningful link texts and visible focus indicators
- Responsive layout, zoom up to 200 % without loss of information
- Language declared on the HTML document, language switcher between EN and DE
- No auto-playing media
Outside the scope
External services linked from this website (e.g. LinkedIn) do not fall within the scope of this statement.

Feedback and contact
If you notice any accessibility shortcomings or need content in an alternative format, please contact: dgerl@protonmail.com.
Enforcement procedure
As this is a purely private website, neither a formal conciliation procedure under § 16 BGG nor proceedings under the BFSG apply. Requests are, however, handled informally and promptly.
