Vita
Daniel Henry Gerl, born in 1994, qualified as a hotel industry expert through a vocational apprenticeship from 2013 through 2016 following his Abitur. He subsequently studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn (2016–2022) and, at the same university, pursued doctoral studies (2023–2026). During those studies, he was employed at Freshfields in dispute resolution from 2018 to 2022, first as a Student Assistant and subsequently as a Research Assistant. Alongside his doctorate, he worked from 2022 to 2026 as a Research Assistant at the German Arbitration Institute (DIS) in Bonn-Bad Godesberg in case management. Since May 2025, Daniel H. Gerl serves as a law clerk (Rechtsreferendar) at the Regional Court of Cologne.
